What so proudly we hail: America's benevolence

Where else but America would a nation feed not only a another nation that harbors if not helps it enemies -- and feeds them to the tune of millions of dollars?

The Afghan people, in general, may not be against the United States -- mainly the Taliban is -- and feeding the nation's impoverished and destitute while supplying medicine is just about par for the course for a nation as noble as ours, one that helped rebuild Japan after World War II and much of Southeast Asia following the Vietnam War.

We would just hope that Afghans remember the benevolence of Americans when it comes …
