SA: Bushfire flare up contained
Country Fire Service and National Parks firefighters and an aerial bomber have brought
an outbreak of the large Eyre Peninsula bushfire under control.
The CFS says the flare-up occurred late yesterday on the north-western corner of the
fire perimeter near the Uley graphite mine.
It was fanned by strong south-easterly winds and moved quickly before being brought
under control and contained by bulldozed firebreaks.
About 75 firefighters patrolled the fire permiter until midnight, with 45 staying on
the scene for the rest of the night.
